This is surely the reason they are no longer.

What is it with death metal and young upstart bands always fucking owning the big names? First Decapitated kicks everyone's ass, and forces bands like Deicide and Morbid Angel to get their shit together back in the turn of the millenium, and now there's Dissector. The average age of the band members is 16, yet their sound is so true to the old school, you'd think these guys were old farts like Jeff Walker. Much akin to Carcass, their main influences lie in bands like Repulsion, Impetigo, and Nihilist- with some Exhumed-style vocals breakdowns to spare.

The minute the sample ends in 'Autopsy Assault' the blastbeat hits and you know this isn't some ordinary band. They're nothing special when it comes to technical skill, but this isn't technical death metal to put the kids to sleep. The fact that they're a by-the-book death/thrash metal band is what allows them to be so great - they isn't anything like this now. Of course, there's the all-out boner-wah-solo extravaganza song, which goes by the name of "Zombi Incantations." Oh fuck, what a solo. It's not that it's particularly hard, but like I said before, it just fits so well. Considering the fact that this whole demo was recorded with just a Boss mic, the production is damn good too. Higlights are: "Zombies Raped your Girlfriend," "Zombi Incantations," and the now-classic "It came from the Nutsack." Make sure to get the re-mastered version when it hits because there aren't any copies of the original anyone will ever be willing to give up.
