"Recent release of this New England Black Metal band whose name is Katahdin and their release titled Pamola done by three men and whose name of band is about a Mountain in Maine, USA the term means "The Greatest Mountain. Among some Native Americans, Katahdin was believed to be the home of the storm god Pamola, Pamola (also known as Pamolai, P-mol-a, Pomola, and Bmola) is a legendary bird spirit that appears in Abenaki mythology. This spirit causes cold weather. Well, great release based in New England history as well as culture and customs; a mixtures rich of this kind sounds as the landscape focused in old times, Fast guitar riffs as well as drums playing, total crushing done by guitar sharp riffing with Death/Black elements, while a deep vocals went employed with style envolved on this fast sounding, a bit influenced to Death Metal, but still is Black Metal, A structure so solid with a background and guitar leads so fast and tie up with the rest of the music totally fucking awesome.
Recommended.
On the other hand, this band it's not a Pagan Black or Pagan Black/Death as some has labeled, in whole album, I never listened an acoustic guitar as a Pagan/Folk genre used, perhaps this recording has Death Metal elements or Black/Death but neither Pagan/Folk. is only Black Metal that speaks about New England in colonial times and its history."
